Something you'd like to learn (Original version Paula)

Hello everybody.

Well, today I´ll tell you about something that I´d like to learn.

Really, exist a lot of things that I´d like to learn, but I think that it is a bit difficult, because I don’t have mucho time now. For example, I ever want to learn play piano, but I don´t have time and money for do this, another thing that I ever want to learn is dance tango and salsa, but I’m not a good dancer, and for to be a good dancer you must to dedicate a lot of time, and now I don’t have enough time, but someday I’ll do this. Well, when I studied in the school I danced in a group called Dance; they are similar to the Cheer Leaders, but Dance only works in the floor; the problem was that I couldn’t continue to dance there, because in my last year in the school I must went to the Preuniversitary and my horary didn´t coincide with the Dance’s horary; it was really sad, but anyway, it’s the life, I think.     

Well, the others things that I want to learn are speak French, Italian and Portuguese, and I´ll do this as soon as I can, because I want to go to Brazil, France and Italy someday =).

They are some things interesting for me, but what about you? What do you want to learn?

I like to do…

Hi!

Today I like to tell you about the things I would like to learn better. One thing that I would like to learn well would be to play the charango. I learn some chords. I think that I know the most important chords but I'd like to be able to play better. I like to can to improvise many songs, I have little hope. Nevertheless, I can play basic stuff for example I can play the song “run run se fue pal norte” by Violeta Parra.

The most important instrument I would like play better is a drums. I love play drums because help me to relax. The play drums are a very sublime experience. What I like to play the most in the drums is a rock and grunge music. I can to improvise very songs. I think I am good.

Another thing I'd like to learn is more about the geology. The geology is the most beautiful themes of all sciences. Geology is the study of the Earth, the materials of which it is made, the structure of those materials, and the processes acting upon them. It includes the study of organisms that have inhabited our planet. An important part of geology is the study of how Earth’s materials, structures, processes and organisms have changed over time. This themes help us understund the lify our planet.. It is also the kind of thing that all should we to learn.  

About Anthropology

Hello everybody

I decided to study anthropology because this discipline helps people. From the culture perspective, anthropology tries to understand and find the causes of people behavior. Anthropology is, at the end, to study an “other” whose definition is to be different from the self. This “other” may be an ethnic group, a social movement, even a band of rock.

An important thing is that anthropology isn’t exclusive to anyone, because it studies every single one and let us be closer to different cultures and lifestyles to be able to understand and accept them. For this purpose, the essential tool an anthropologist must have is to be able to look at this “other” without a cultural and disciplinary slant. Anthropologist must be able to study this other, not looking at it as an exotic other, but like a different from us “other” but at the same time as an equal that deserves respect.

The most beautiful thing about of career is that we learn to know about us as a culture by studying those who are different. It helps to have an open mind about how are the people in the world, and to be more tolerant.

One of the most important topics and that I love the most is social history. The  social history studied by the concept of culture helps understand the social movements and popular groups of our times. Social history is essential to anthropology because helps to understand this groups conformation to help them later on their social and emotional development. One of the professionals that I admire and teaches about this is Daniel Fauré Polloni. He dedicates to study this groups and help’s by the popular teaching to make them up socially and politically to be able to confront difficulties that capitalism represent in our country.

To finish, I have to add that anyone of us can do anthropology. Most important thing is that when we meet the “other” we must be capable of put us in their place to really understand them.

Cave Paintings

The topic today is cave paintings. I am interested in this topic, because I like the art and I love archaeology. This topic is important for history because the cave paintings were probably the first artistic expression, and they deliver information or data about the thoughts of the prehistoric people. In conclusion cave paintings deliver information about the prehistoric culture.

The cave paintings are paintings on cave walls and ceilings. I think that watching all these representations together is a very sublime experience.

The purpose of the Paleolithic Cave Paintings is not known. The evidence suggests that they were not merely decoration of the living areas, and the archaeologies found no signs of life or habitation in the caves. Some theories hold that they may have been a way of communicating with others. Other theories ascribe them religious or ceremonial purpose.

The most common themes in the cave paintings are large wild animals, such as a bison, horses, and others; and even abstract patterns of humans.

Many paintings were drawn with red and yellow ochre, manganese oxide and charcoal and the cave paintings was made with the hands.
